Valentine's Day is coming up very soon and it's a time of year that we adore! While the history of Valentine's Day is a little murky, there is no doubt that it is a long-standing tradition that has been celebrated for many hundreds, if not thousands of years.
We like to see it as a celebration of the coming of Spring, with the promise of all the good things to come as the days lengthen and the World begins to awaken from winter sleep. It's a wonderful time to celebrate life and love by baking sweet treats together, enjoying a hearty meal and letting those you love know how important they are to you.
Our petals are a beautiful, natural and easy way to create a romantic atmosphere, at home or away.
- scatter them on a breakfast tray for breakfast in bed
- scatter on your dining room table with candles, for a sumptuous dinner
- add a few handfuls to a hot bath, with a couple of glasses of champagne on the side
- use them to create a petal pathway, leading to a Valentine's Day surprise
- scatter on the bed
- use them to create a heart
- use them to write a message, such as 'Marry Me' or 'I Love You'
Whether you are planning to propose, or just decorating to create an extra-special Valentine's Day, our petals are all-natural, with no dyes used, and are biodegradable and eco-friendly as decoration. They are freeze-dried to make them easy to store and use. They won't wilt, and will keep their beauty for months.
We offer rose petals, hydrangea petals and delphinium petals too, although for Valentine's Day you can't go wrong with traditional Red Rose Petals.
5 Litres (25 handfuls/cups of Rose Petals) is the most popular size when it comes to proposals, although 2 litres would give you 10 cups to decorate a table, bath or to add a few handfuls onto the floor or a bed.
2 litres should be enough to write 'I Love You' or 'Marry Me' in 20cm high lettering using Rose Petals.
For heavier coverage on a floor or bed, or to create a pathway of petals we would recommend at least 5-10 litres of Rose Petals.
For a real WOW factor, you could go for 20 litres (100 cups) or more.
For those who are super organised we recommend ordering now, in January, but we will also have supplies ready for those last minute orders, so you can order up until Friday 10th February for Valentine's Day delivery.
